Brian Counsellor

I have a Bachelors Honours Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counselling. My practical blend of psychology expertise, cultural sensitivity, and extensive international business experience enriches my therapeutic approach. I have experience in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, career changes and other life transitions. I provide a safe space for working with both individuals and couples in developing their self-awareness, coping, resilience, and interpersonal skills to find happiness and fulfilment. 

I use a Person-centred approach whilst also drawing on evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focussed Therapy and Emotional Focussed Therapy. I am currently registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Rose-Maree

Rose-Maree Counselling Brisbane

As a registered counsellor, I am interested in blended families, connection, personal growth, and transition to care. I offer individual and couples counselling and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mental health.  I aim to provide dedicated support and guidance on your journey toward well-being. Drawing inspiration from an internal family systems perspective, I encourage the exploration of past experiences, family dynamics, and patterns to gain insight into present ways of being.

 

Grounded in life experiences. Recognising that healing and growth unfold at their own pace, I am committed to assisting you through this process.

Utilising therapeutic modalities such as Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focused, I work towards enhancing communication and fostering connections for individuals and couples. I welcome clients of various genders, family  structures and cultural backgrounds.
I am a registered member of the Australia Counselling Association (ACA), reflecting my commitment to professional standards as we collaborate on your path to personal growth and well-being.

Gabriella

Gabriela

I use an integrative approach to counselling grounded in Rogerian person-centred therapy. We wil collaboratively explore and reflect on themes that have arisen in sessions and in your daily life. I use stem from my professional interest or experience in psychodynamic approaches, attachment theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy techniques.

 

I also have Level 1 training in The Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach to couples counselling.

I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). My professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Counselling degree, a Master of Adult and Continuing Education, and a Master of Mental Health specialising in Psychotherapy. I have completed a PhD program in Psychotherapy at the University of Queensland Faculty of Medicine, specialising in short-term CBT to manage anxiety symptoms in people living with cognitive impairment and dementia. I have experience working with couples and adult individuals, navigating intra- and interpersonal conflicts, focusing on emotional processes and authenticity in communication, processing grief and loss of different natures, and supporting care partners of people living with dementia.

As a compassionate therapist who identifies as a gay man, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming, affirming, and nonjudgmental space for individuals and couples seeking support. With a focus on various areas including relationships, LGBTQIA+, teenagers, life coaching, and career guidance, I am committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges and find resilience and growth. My approach is rooted in evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and narrative/person-centred therapy. 

These modalities are tailored to suit your unique needs and are aimed at fostering self-awareness, promoting positive change, and
enhancing your overall well-being.
For couples seeking to strengthen their bond or navigate through difficulties, I offer a supportive environment to explore communication patterns, intimacy issues, and conflict resolution strategies.
In working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, I provide a safe and affirming space to address identity, relationships, and the unique challenges faced within the community. I understand firsthand the intricacies and challenges that LGBTQIA+ individuals encounter. This personal insight informs my practice, allowing me to offer empathetic and specialised support while honoring the diversity within the community.

I enjoy working collaboratively with couples and individuals to help them experience connection and reconnection – with themselves, others, their values, and their hope – in a safe and nonjudgmental environment.

With over 20 years of experience as an allied health practitioner, I can selectively engage a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs and preferences.

 

When not at work, you’ll find me spending time with family and friends, outside enjoying nature and music, theatre, art – and anywhere there & great food!
My qualifications are Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy), Master of Counselling (Psychotherapy), and Internship – Emotionally Focussed Therapy for Couples.
